How to Unshare a File in Google Drive
Below, we will show you how to unshare documents in Google Drive.
1. Search and Find the File
Use the search function at the top of Google Drive. Type in the name of the file you are looking for and press enter to locate it. In our example, we will search for our “Local Business Directory.”
2. Access Sharing Settings of the File
Right-click on your file and move your cursor over Share on the dropdown menu. Another side menu will appear. Select Share again from this extended menu.
3. Review Who Has Access to the File
In the sharing settings window, you will see a list of people and groups who have access to the file, along with their roles, such as Viewer or Editor. Find the person whose access you want to modify. For example, we’ll remove access for Jasper Garr.
